Welcome to the enchanting world of Gallavants, where magic and wonder blend with the lives of these whimsical characters. Check out our website where imagination meets nature, offering a fresh perspective on our everyday surroundings through the eyes of the Gallavants. We have lots of different pages such as, Plant of the Month, presenting a new plant every month, giving you some fun nature facts, uses, and pictures together with visuals of how the Gallavants connect with the monthly choice. Another page provides ideas about some fun outdoor activities. Other parts of our site give you some suggestions about making nature-art, learning about the elements, and of course, cool stuff about the Gallavants themselves.

About the Gallavants
The Gallavants are an engaging group of fantasy characters, loosely modeled after the social structure of ants. To honor their very distant cousins, there is a lot of play with the word ‘ant’ in names and activities in the village. This lively community thrives under the philosophy of “all for one and one for all”, yet there is total freedom to be who you are as an individual. In Ganterville, everyone chips in. For example, every adult Gallavant belongs to a G-Crew, which is a group of Gallavants doing a particular job in the village. The beloved, benevolent Queen Millikan gently rules this place with the help of her Royal ConsultAnts. All the villagers work together to explore and protect nature. They follow the Gallavant Motto: “If you take care of Nature, Nature takes care of you.” Their world, in many ways, parallels human society with social situations and problem-solving.

Welcome to Ganterville, the first settlement of the Gallavants. Life in the village runs smoothly thanks to the guidance of the popular and wise Queen Millikan and her trusted Royal ConsultAnts. This amazing place is full of creativity – from learning the fun facts and uses of plants, to finding out about the surprising collaboration going on in nature. It’s about cooperation and respect for all life, teaching everyone about caring for each other and our planet.
The Gallavants’ world is where make-believe meets real life, inspiring everyone who visits, to think about how we can all be better friends to each other and our Earth.

Here you can see our village, which has two parts. Upper Ganterville has all kinds of housing around Clearwater Pond and Hook-On-Huts hanging from branches in the trees. Paths, rope-ladders, and acorn-lifts connect all of it. This place is buzzing with life and creativity.

Lower Ganterville
Lower Ganterville is a maze of tunnels and caves with stairways getting you from one place to another. There is the Throne Hall, where the Queen spends time consulting with her Royal ConsultAnts and receives her loyal subjects. Her Royal Chambers are located down here, as well. This is where a Gallavant’s life begins.

Exploring Nature with SPARC
It’s time to go out and explore Mother Nature! Going on “Curiosity-Trips”, is what we gallavants call it. Use all your senses. Look and you’ll see. Sniff and smell. Listen and you’ll hear. Touch and you’ll feel. But – taste ONLY if you know it’s OK! Before going on Curiosity Trips – Make sure you have S-P-A-R-C!
- Safety! Know what NOT to touch, smell or eat!
- Parents! Make sure you have their or Guardian’s OK!
- Alertness! Pay attention to everything around you!
- Respect! Have respect for every creature and every plant!
- Curiosity! Be curious! That’s how you learn.

The Gallavants Books
To find out more about who they are and how they live, we offer a book that introduces these fanciful characters in “Meet the Gallavants – an introduction to Ganterville”. Another book, “The Gallavants Tree Book”, pictures some of our common trees together with fun facts. There are also books available featuring the adventures of five young Gallavants, known as the Vit Gang, who go on ‘curiosity-trips’ sharing their discoveries of the magic of nature. Each character brings a personal perspective, adding to the diverse view, while emphasizing the importance of nature and environmental stewardship.

Kersti Frigell
Annie Shaw
Kersti Frigell and Annie Shaw, co-creators of Gallavants, bring a blend of passion and creativity to this visionary project. Kersti and Annie are committed to connecting children with nature and promoting environmental sustainability. Kersti, a designer and illustrator with decades of experience in children’s book publishing, transitioned from a fashion designer educated in Stockholm and Paris to the production designer of the animated movie ‘The Gallavants,’ co-produced by Marvel Productions. Her artistic vision is evident in every aspect of Gallavants. The purpose of this unique concept is to inspire the next generations to be eco-conscious thinkers by blending educational content with engaging narratives to foster a love and respect for our natural world.
