Sniff & Guess Instructions

• Exploring nature is about using all your senses.
• This Sniff–and–Guess game is about using your sense of SMELL!
• Get a group of your friends together for some outdoor fun.
• Bring a bandanna or a light scarf. Something you can use as a blindfold.
• Go out into the woods or park or even your own garden. Pick up some different things as you go. This could be a leaf, pine-needles, some grass, flower or perhaps just some soil.
• Then everyone smells the different things and try to remember the scent of each thing. Sometimes you need to smush a thing to get the scent to come out.
• Take turns being blindfolded and guess what each item is. You can keep score if you want it to be a contest or just have fun with it all.
• You can also do the same thing with your sense of TOUCH!
